Description | Pen and wash drawing shows ornate building in red brick with mullioned windows, and gothic arched doors. In the grounds are workmen erecting fences, a horse and cart. Charles Hansom (1817-1888) was an architect who moved to Bristol around 1845. Between 1886 and 1888 he was in partnership with Frederick Bligh Bond. At this time he carried out work on the University College Bristol. This drawing probably dates from this time, and was probably not built. |
