DescriptionMinute Book contains the Education Board Minutes, 27 October 1889 - 5 May 1893 (volume IV in series), and the Faculty of Arts and Science Minutes, 1 June 1893 - September 1896.

The Education Board Minutes include responses to student misconduct, such as student dismissal for stealing books, a student confesses to using 'unfair means' in exams, as well as reports of 'snowballing' by students. Other matters covered include students recommended for scholarships for each academic year, the granting of certificates and scholarships, the administration of evening classes, administration of scholarships, and general administration of the University College Bristol such as fees, terms dates and classes.

The Faculty of Arts and Science meeting minutes cover the same functions as the Education Board Minutes but additionally include election of staff to the Faculty and recommendations to the Council regarding new appointments of staff. Also included in these minutes is a report by University College Bristol's professors on the finances of the College as result of a deficit of £950, 8 December 1895. The document details reasons for the deficiency, departmental expenditure, general expenses, salaries and shares of fees, and a suggestion by professors for a tax to be applied to higher wages, as well as other recommendations for managing the deficit.
