Description | Photograph album commemorating the visit of Winston Churchill to the University of Bristol on 13-14 December 1951. Churchill, as Chancellor of the University was laying the foundation stone of the Queen's Building, which housed the University Engineering Department. The visit also included a reception at the University, a dinner given by the Society of Merchant Venturers at Merchants' House, a reception in the University Library, and a Congregation for the conferment of Honorary degrees. Folios 3 and 12 are blank.
