| Description | This sub-series contains correspondence from readers relating to wide range of topics. Some are simple requests for back copies and subscriptions, but many concern issues raised by readers either in response to articles or due to something happening in their lives which they want advice on or help dealing with. Some just want to share their experiences with other feminists. Many of these letters were considered by the Spare Rib Collective for publication on the readers' letters page, and generally the letters have been annotated to indicate whether they were published or not.
This correpondence was in the process of being re-filed when it was transferred to the Feminist Archive South, therefore the first 3 boxfiles are arranged alphabetically by name (A-M), and the second section of 6 folders, covering correspondents with names N-Z, are arranged by year. The dates of correspondence within sub-series 3 and 4 overlap.
Because of the sensitive nature of the correspondence, which includes personal information on identifiable individuals, access to these papers is restricted.
