Description | ‘Half the Sky’, Proof Copy and Correspondence; WLM tape/slides 73/4; Helen Taylor; Women in Literature film/tape These materials were probably all donated by Helen Taylor Brown cardboard box containing ‘Women in literature’, 2 audio cassettes, 4 film strips in canisters, and notes on the publication which was produced in 1976 by Educational Audio Visual Inc., Pleasantville, New York. This edition previously belonged to Bristol Polytechnic Libraries Also contains an audio cassette labelled ‘Helen Taylor on Women in Media Conference’, BBC Bristol, 2 July 1974 (Digital scan available, Dec 2010)

‘Half the sky: Chinese women in London’, flier for a study day at the Museum of London, 8 February 1997 Stuck into the lid of the box is a greetings card with a Chinese painting of people and tractors looking at a notice board. Inside reads ‘From the Chinese Shop in Ambleside, Cumbria! With a stamp from the Feminist Archive, Orchard Leigh House, Shepton Mallet, Somerset. A post it note in Jane Hargreaves hand reads ‘Half the Sky card, Don’t know its provenance (Not from Helen T.)but it should be here! |
