DescriptionLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to GH Gibbs, 21 January 1840. Brunel has strongly recommended that the London Committee [of the Great Western Railway] adopt the telegraph between Bristol and Bath. He is not sure whether making the same recommendation to the Bristol Committee 'will produce mischief' and asks Gibbs for his advice.
