DescriptionDM162/10/12/folio 222. Letter to Dr Parkes relating to Renkioi hospital buildings, Scutari hospital. The letter relates to the requirement of buildings at Scutari before the winter, forwarding of four wards at Renkioi due to delays of admiralty transport to send from England. Brunton written to, Parkes' and Brunel's exertions but reduced number of patients, assistance not so much required, possibility of hospitals not being used. 14 October 1855.

DM162/10/12/folio 226. Letter to John Brunton relating to Renkioi hospital buildings. Belief that Renkioi to become chief Eastern hospital, undetermined but instructions expected, to be enlarged to fullest extent, intention of sending additional rails, etc., both jetties to be constructed, details and construction of railway, rails, trucks, turn outs, transport, winter clothing to be purchased, plans to be considered. 2 November 1855.

Expectation of peace, decision to do nothing more at Renkioi, no authority received for further stores and advising on what to do with hospital, request for Parkes' opinion on its further use, Consul's and Brunton's advice on profitable disposal, general satisfaction with achievement. 24 March 1856.
