Plans prepared for foundations, buildings, basement with air chamber beneath and ventilating apparatus, etc., walls under each of local materials, wood floors from England, economy, practicability, communication with Smyrna, difficulty of one storied buildings on site, modification and adaptation details, designed for different circumstances, costs, recommendation of plans and instructions being sent out, arrangements for work made and Brunton going to Smyrna to plan position, drainage, etc. 20 June 1855.
