No wooden buildings to be sent to Smyrna, materials, etc., better obtained there, site selection with Parkes, lading bills of the Susan, Portwallis, Nissiter Tedjorat, Gertrude and Hawk to be sent, Dr. Sutherland's recommendation of raising of floor, paving, draining, etc., under closets, belief in sweet air, directions to be sent to the Consul at the Dardanelles to instruct ships' captains, arrangements to be made for lighters if required, discharging cargo, etc. 13 April 1855. |
