DescriptionDM162/10/12/folio 162. Letter to B. Hawes relating to Renkioi hospital buildings, Smyrna hospital. Suggestion approved that Brunton recommended by Brunel to superintend construction of first hospital should go to Smyrna to improve buildings there, appointed under Dr Meyers, suggestion that when required he should go to first hospital site to prepare ground, reception of materials and construction, etc. 7 March 1855.

DM162/10/12/folio 164. Letter to John Brunton relating to Renkioi hospital buildings. Brunton to meet Dr. Parkes chief medical superintendent of first hospital, choice of site, directions and plans sent, site altered from Scutari, necessity of harbour for shipping, shipments, approval of Parkes, contractor Eassie's son going out with foreman and carpenters, equipment sent, requirement of further workmen, tools, etc., instructions for construction of water supply, buildings, cooperation with and advice from purveyor Jenner, etc. 2 April 1855.

DM162/10/12/folio 170. Letter to Major O'Brien relating to Renkioi hospital buildings. Letter relates to buildings contracted for, delivery dates and shipping tonnage required, necessity of arrangements with Transport Board, knowledge of ship's capacity, etc., materials of same class of building sent together, prevention of delays, steamers required and transport arrangements, avoidance of confusion and prompt erection of buildings by knowing cargo capacity of vessels. 5 April 1855.
