TitleLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to Thomas Guppy
DescriptionProbably discussing steamship engines: 'I have received the drawing of the engine - - they have rather gone to the opposite extreme - the stroke too long (sic) for the wheels now - I shall write to them. Your politico-religious explanation of the causes of the failure of the Liverpool are unanswerable - I should think [however] the [ ] was gone again - he surely would not go in a sailing vessel with a steamer going to start first -

I am sorry she has been able to start I was in hopes it was a complete failure - we must as you say have a regular talking [bout] over matters and get them settled -'
