TitleLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to Thomas Guppy
DescriptionBrunel promises to find 'somebody to go by the Rainbow'. The valves of the 'Wilberforce' must be examined by a manufacturer. (Brunel, Guppy, and others made several trips on the 'Rainbow' and 'Wilberforce' steamships during their work on the design of the SS Great Britain. See Griffiths, Lambert, and Walker, 'Brunel's Ships' (Chatham Publishing, 1999.), p. 63)

He sends Guppy a paper given to him by Mr Gibbs; he has written to ask Gibbs for the name of the author and permission to use it.

The letter ends 'Clifton Bridge [Clifton Suspension Bridge] shall progress'.
