Description
Brunel has written to Mather Dixon [railway locomotive manufacturers] about their [Tender]. He asks Guppy for information about broken axles and carriages on the Grand Junction Railway - 'to compare with ours I believe it will show an immense advantage in our favour'. The letter also mentions the arrival of the 'Sirius' paddle steamer.
