DescriptionList of all the tasks that remain to be done on the Great Eastern, divided by the location of the work. The tasks involve the upper deck, top-gallant forecastle deck, main decks, cargo decks, saloon decks, raised decks. There are also entries for work on the chocks and stoppers, bridge, board and lamp boxes, boats, brace and transporting chocks, foxing stanchions etc, lamp room and magazine, battering cargo holds, drilling and tapping, steer wheel platform, decks in wings of paddle engine room and spring beams, sponson beams and rubbing pieces. The specification finishes with an estimated cost for the work which details the assumptions made when drawing up the estimated cost, signed by John Hepworth, foreman of the works.
The key tasks are mainly preparing, laying, caulking and planing the decks with a variety of other tasks for the non-deck areas.
The sheet is folded in half to make four pages with three of the four pages written on.
