TitlePart of what appears to be a contract for the masts of the Great Eastern
DescriptionThe item covers clauses dealing with material now on hand and partly prepared, period of delivery and mode of payment. The clause covering materials now on hand lists the quantity of iron plates for the large masts and the proportion of these that have been prepared. The period of delivery specifies the length of time for the delivery and fixing of the masts and any terms restricting the delivery. The sheet is folded in half to make a total of four pages, of which two have been written on. Later on in the file is another part of a contract for supplying and erecting the masts and yards (folio 51) but the hands of the two documents are different so it is unlikely that the two documents are related.
