Description	The estimate is marked private and begins with an estimate of the area of the upper deck of the Great Eastern which is to be covered with teak and calculations as to the exact quantity of timber that is needed and the cost. There are also estimates of the amount of teak and the cost that are needed for padding, for the bulwarks and steering platform and for the steering wheel, gratings, pin rail and extra rails. The final page has estimates for the cost of the sundries connected with the teak planking on the upper deck including the bolts, screws and nails, oakum and white lead. There are pencil annotations and alterations to the entries and the calculations on the first two pages.
