DescriptionWritten from 67 Gracechurch Street, London. The letter congratulates Brunel on the successful launching of the Great Eastern. The letter sends Brunel a copy of a letter from an American named Mr Botts who would be willing to make a contract with Brunel for a sectional floating dry dock large enough for the Great Eastern along with a pamphlet providing testimonials for the dock. The letter requests Brunel's opinion on the dock and also requests the return of the pamphlet.
