| Description | Written on headed paper for George Milner, Patentee of Trellis Work, Bedstead Bottoms, India Rubber Spring Mattresses &c 64 Newman Street, Oxford Street. The letter explains that Milner, in his previous note to Brunel, failed to explain that his patent for a new method of organising ships' sleeping berths provides for a more luxurious version by combining a flexible band with the india rubber springs for only a small extra fee. The letter offers to meet Brunel to explain his method in more detail. The letter has been copied out as DM1306/11/1/5/folio 53 in Brunel's letter books of Great Eastern correspondence. |
