TitleLetter from Ebenezer Paulson to Isambard Kingdom Brunel offering an invention for use on the Great Eastern
DescriptionWritten from 21 Judd Street, Kings Cross, London. The letter requests permission to send Brunel a copy of a drawing of Paulson's patent pendulum lever engines for his inspection with a view towards its inclusion on the Great Eastern and suggests that using the device might offer the Eastern steam Navigation Company a considerable saving. An annotation across the upper left hand corner directs Brunel's reply returning the drawing and explaining that the engines for the ship are already designed.
