TitleLetter from Messers Tindall & Co to John Yates, secretary of the Eastern Steam Navigation Company
DescriptionWritten from Millwall Wharf, London. The letter refers to two hydraulic press cylinders which were broken and which the Eastern Steam Navigation Company offered to pay for or replace. Tindall & Co express their preference to have new cylinders cast at Drydens of Lambeth. Tindall & Co suggest that since Drydens already have the patterns for the cylinder, it will be cheaper to have the cylinders cast at Drydens rather than going somewhere else where new patterns will have to be made and paid for.
