Title	Letter from Henry Wise, manager of the Thames Iron Works and Ship Building Company Limited, to Isambard Kingdom Brunel
Description	Written on headed paper from the Thames Iron Works and Ship Building Company Limited, Orchard Yard, Blackwall, London. The letter acknowledges Brunel's letter and tries to explain the conditions which the directors of the Thames Iron Works put on their being willing to undertake the forging of the crank shaft for the Great Eastern. The letter explains what the directors of the Thames Iron Works undertake to do if given the contract for the forging of the crank shaft and hopes that by introducing these stipulations the work will run smoothly. The letter may have been copied out in Brunel's letter books of Great Eastern correspondence as DM1306/11/1/5/folio 57-58.
