Includes a long letter from Leslie to Isambard Kingdom Brunel, 'With reference to the date of completion as, from the manager down to the forger, they will not commit themselves in any way I can only give my own opinion - assuming a safe average increase to be 10cwt per diem it would be forged in about seven weeks from this date'.
