The letter confirms that Beale brought Brunel's note down to the Rotherham works and confirms that the whole order of 7 inch bars has been completed and it will be impossible to drill the bars there. The letter promises that Beale will consider Brunel's requests about the plates carefully and will communicate further with Brunel. There is a pencil sketch on the second page, below the signature. The letter may have been copied out in Brunel's volumes of letter books as DM1306/11/1/5/folio 73. |
