Title'Tender and charter party for conveyance of passengers'
DescriptionPre-printed Government form D No 12: Tender for Passage Accommodation and Diet of Persons Embarked for .... Under the authority of Her Majesty's Colonial Land and Emigration Commissioners authorising ships to carry emigrant passengers. The form contains various tables covering the name and dimensions of the ship applying for authorisation and their embarkation and destination ports. The form details the conditions that must be adhered to by the owners of the ship including the ship's undergoing a government inspection and the provisions that must be made for passengers including their food, religious instruction, medical treatment and schooling for children on board. The inside of the form details the exact conditions of the agreement including the provisions for the numbers of passengers, the fitting out of the ship, the crew, the passengers' luggage, the provisions and stores for passengers, the provision of water, stores and medical comforts (including detailed quantities of the amounts of various foods that must be budgeted for the passengers diets and the list of acceptable medicines to be carried on board), the preparations for the ship and the payment of passage money.
