| Title | Letter from James Watt & Co to J. H. Yates, secretary of the Great Ship Company |
| Description | Written from 18 London Street, City of London. The letter explains that Brunel's letter relating to a dispute over the bulkhead for the auxiliary boiler room was itself written under a misapprehension and criticises the tone of Yates' previous letter to Watt & Co. The letter also explains that Watt & Co have referred back to their original contract with the Great Ship Company which has a very specific provision in it relating to the completion of their work. |
