| Description | The letter explains that Campbell finds it uncomfortable to be the medium of communication between two professional men who should be able to converse with each other professionally and explains that when he received Brunel's letter he called together the Board of Directors and passed the matter at hand onto the arbitrators, who have sent the letter that Campbell is passing on to Brunel. Campbell explains that he is meeting with John Scott Russell and will encourage him to meet the spirit of his contract and asks Brunel to consider an early meeting with Russell which Campbell will also attend if Brunel wishes. |
