Title	Letter from John H. Yates, secretary of the Great Ship Company, to unidentified recipients
Description	Written from 79 Lombard Street, London. The letter is a circular letter announcing that the directors of the Great Ship Company (Limited) will be opening up the contracts for the completion of the Great Eastern and will divide the work up into four contracts. The letter explains the division of the work and how the Directors will agree to the work being tendered for and announces that lithographed copies of the specification and the forms for tender can be obtained at Brunel's office at Duke Street. The letter also explains the arrangements for submitting tenders.
