| Description | The letter informs Harrison that the workmen from the Great Western Railway's Swindon works are travelling down to Weymouth the next day (15 September) to see the Great Eastern and reminds him of the arrangements that Brunel made to partly subsidise their visit. The letter explains that although Bennett has written several times to the Directors of the Great Ship company he has received no answer and asks Harrison to ensure that Brunel's arrangements are honoured. |
