| Title | Letter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to R. J. Campbell |
| Description | The letter confirms that Brunel will be on board the Great Eastern the following day hoping to see Campbell. The letter asks if Campbell will confirm Brunel's appointments of engineers which he hopes to start that week and expresses his anxiety about the upper deck. Brunel explains that he has dropped the matter assuming that it would be dealt with but now that the time for completing the matter is nearly over, he is bringing it up again and explaining what needs to be done. Brunel also raises some deficiencies in the cabin arrangements. |
