DescriptionThe letter expresses Brunel's good opinion of the new nautical regulator or governor designed by Mr Silver and his willingness to let Blake install one in the paddle engine of the Great Eastern as well as his willingness to support Blake's application for the patent right to use the governor as long as it does not exceed a certain amount. Brunel also sets out the conditions under which the governor can be installed.
