TitleLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to R. J. R. Campbell
DescriptionThe letter explains how important it is to settle the question of the engineers and stokers for the engines. Brunel does not know what Mr Russell has done regarding the selection of the engineers for the paddle engines but he has heard nothing from Mr Blake about the engineers for the screw engines. Brunel suggests that adverts be immediately inserted in various publications to invite applications for the posts but that they first need to determine the number of posts to be filled.
