TitleLetter from Edward Brown Witstone to Isambard Kingdom Brunel
DescriptionWritten from Swansea. The letter explains that Witstone has recently had some coal trialled by the Iron Steam Boat company who have a reputation for economy of fuel and expresses his pleasure at the results of the trial, which has resulted in an additional order. Witstone gives Brunel the details of the superintending engineer who can validate the results of the trial. Witstone confirms that the coal trialled by the Iron Steam Boat Company is the same coal that he intends to supply to the Great Ship company.
