| Title | Letter from Robert Thomson to Isambard Kingdom Brunel |
| Description | Written from Liverpool. The letter acknowledges receipt of Harrison's letter and apologises for the delay in replying but explains that Thomson has worked with a considerable variety of coal recently but that none of it compares to the old Tredegar coal supplied by L. A. Humphrey of Newport although he has been impressed by Nixon's Duffryn coal. Thomson recommends both Humphrey's Tredegar Coal and Nixon's Duffryn Coal. |
