| Title | Letter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to John Scott Russell |
| Description | The letter asks Russell to let Brunel know what arrangements are being made for jointing the masts onto the steps since Brunel has seen no indications that preparations have been made for ordering the elastic bands or packing head and Brunel does not know of any other supplier than Moulton of Bradford, Wiltshire. A postscript mentions that he had previously noticed that the shoulder of the flange of the foremast is defective and gives instructions for remedying the defect. |
