| Description | Written from Tenby. The letter acknowledges receipt of Brunel's letter and promises to explain how matters stand with regard to the masts when he returns to London. The letter updates Brunel as to the progress on installing the masts when Finch left the Great Eastern and promises that he has despatched a crew to rivet the pieces of the mast together along with a clerk to expedite the delivery of the mast pieces and reiterates that Finch is not responsible for supplying the bolts. |
