| Title | Letter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to R. I. R. Campbell |
| Description | The letter remarks that Brunel has recently observed that the workmen are opening the deck in preparation for the installation of a wooden mast as the aftermost main mast but that all of the iron masts are en route to the ship and in fact part of one of the iron masts has been laying alongside the ship for at least a week. Therefore Brunel does not think that a wooden mast would be able to be ordered and installed before the completion date of the ship whereas the iron masts could be. |
