| Title | Letter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to the Lancefield Forge |
| Description | Written from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter expresses Brunel's great anxiety at the proposals made by the Lancefield forge for cutting off sections of the crank shaft until the entire damaged portion is removed and details his objections as well as the way that he would prefer the Lancefield forge tackle the problem which he believes will save both time and money. There is a sketch on Folio 75 illustrating Brunel's points. |
