| Title | Letter from Thomas Pollard to Isambard Kingdom Brunel |
| Description | Written from 12 Northumberland Terrace, Regents Park Road. The letter reminds Brunel of Pollard's previous letter about his new method of propelling steam ships which he believes will supersede both the screw and paddle wheel and hopes to meet with Brunel to discuss his invention and the results of a trial of a model of his device which he thinks will greatly interest Brunel. A brief table summarises the results of a trial of Pollard's vertical propeller against a screw propeller. |
