| Description | Written from Glasgow. The letter thanks Brunel for his letter but explains that they proposed to cut the defective crank shaft until they had completely removed the defective portion and still intend to do so. The letter also updates Brunel on the progress that has been made with the rudder and the double crank shaft and explains the extra workmen they have hired and the overtime and double shift arrangements that they have instituted to ensure that the work is completed. |
