Description	Written from St Neots. The letter thanks Brunel for his previous letter and confirms that he will go on with his experiments relating to the use of gas lighting on board ships. Bower also mentions another order that he has received for fitting a gas lighting apparatus on the ship the Iron Duke and promises to let Brunel know how he gets on.
