The letter acknowledges receipt of Brunel's letter and expresses pleasure at hearing of the steady progress that the ship is making and expresses his hope that the tides will now assist Brunel to make more progress than previously and that the ship will be at the bottom of the launching ways before Saturday. Tredwell pledges to return to London before Friday and promises to assist if he is needed.
