| Title | Letter from J. Coffey to Mr [H. T.] Hope, Chairman of the Directors of the Eastern Steam Navigation Company |
| Description | Written from Darlington. Coffey explains that he has written two letters to Brunel offering to tell him of an apparatus that could be used to get the Leviathan ship launched and which would have saved the company an immense amount of money if it had been used in the first place. Coffey supposes no notice has been taken of his letters because he is not an engineer. |
