DescriptionWritten from 1 Canning Street, Liverpool. The letter comments on Bold's understanding that it was the failure of one of the chains that prevented the launch of the ship, expresses his concern that it may not be possible to procure a replacement for the chain by the beginning of December 1857 and offers to send Brunel a certain quantity of Wood & Co's best chain which is currently owned by the Liverpool Steam Tug Company.
