TitleLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to Henry Thomas Hope
DescriptionWritten from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter apologises for missing Hope since Brunel would have been able to explain the situation more quickly than he can write it out. Brunel explains the results of his examinations of the ship, the launching ways, the workmen and the river tackle, comments that the hydraulic press is the problem and suggests possible solutions for launching the ship.
