TitleLetter from William Barber, Isambard Kingdom Brunel's secretary to Messers Thornton & Sons
DescriptionWritten from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter passes on Brunel's thanks for Thornton & Sons' offer to send down some jacks but that Brunel has enough jacks for his needs. The letter also mentions that Brunel also does not need any more hydraulic presses and that he will not be able to keep the small upright hydraulic presses which were unsuitable and did not work.
