TitleLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to Coles Child
DescriptionWritten from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter is apparently written in answer to a request to visit the shipyard and confirms that Brunel himself has urged the Directors of the Eastern Steam Navigation Company to consider closing the works for ten days and he cannot reopen the works and nor does Brunel think that there is anything to see that cannot be better seen once the ship has been launched.
