TitleLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to Samuel Beale
DescriptionWritten from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter discusses the potential reduction in cross section of the bars that Brunel wants to order from Beale & Co and accepts the possibility of ordering sets of four bars, not three, to total the length that he wants and requests confirmation that this is possible, the price that Beale & Co would charge and the estimated delivery date. Brunel also requests that Beale and Co expedite this order since there are serious delays in the construction of the ship due to a delay in the supply of iron.
