TitleLetter from Alfred Longsdon to Isambard Kingdom Brunel
DescriptionWritten from Fred Krupp's Cast Steel Works, 7 The Grove, Clapham Road, London. The letter confirms that Brunel's previous letter has been forwarded on to Mr Krupp and assures Brunel of Longsdon's certainty of his firm being able to impress Brunel and explains that their success is due to their new method of pouring molten steel. The letter also gives the weight of the firm's hammer which is also important in the ultimate success of their products.
