| Title | Letter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to Messers Thornton |
| Description | Written from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter explains that the man sent by Thornton and Sons to fix the hydraulic jacks could not make them work but that Brunel has received the short jacks which do work and which suit his purposes for the launch. Brunel thinks that the short jacks he has already received should suit all his needs but that Brunel would like to order some spares as a contingency measure but asks what he should do with the useless upright jacks. |
