DescriptionWritten from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter applies, through James, to the Commissioners of the Port of London for the loan of anchors chains and barges required to assist in the launching of the Eastern Steam Navigation Company's ship. The letter confirms that all materials lent to the Eastern Steam Navigation Company will be returned in the same condition and that any expenses incurred during the loan will be defrayed by the Eastern Steam Navigation Company and explains that Captain Harrison will be responsible for sorting out the detailed list of exactly what is to be borrowed and obtaining the assistance of the Port of London workers to place the anchors and moorings correctly.
